Neuromentis® - a supplement improving brain function

Neuromentis® is our proprietary supplement, particularly targeted at individuals exposed to factors that negatively affect the nervous system. It is a completely innovative dietary supplement supporting brain function and neurotransmission processes, notable for its unique composition.

The dietary supplement Neuromentis® works best when used in conjunction with our second product, Revimyelin®. Both products have been designed to complement each other and work synergistically, amplifying their impact on the entire body.

Neuromentis® brain function enhancement supplement - for whom?

Depression, brain fog, and chronic fatigue don't come from nowhere and accompany many diseases, including multiple sclerosis (MS). The etiology of all diseases is not entirely known, but we have sufficiently understood the processes occurring in the brain and their effects. As probably everyone knows, a huge number of processes take place in the brain, which are responsible not only for our mental state but also for our physical condition. Biological disturbances in neurotransmitter production can thus lead to dire consequences involving changes in the brain. Apart from depressive mental states, the causes of these changes can also include fatigue, lack of energy, or reduced activity, both in terms of daily functions and at the level of cognitive activity. Especially negative effects can be seen in disorders of neurotransmitter production in people suffering from, among others, MS. Therefore, the Neuromentis® supplement can be a valuable support in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

Who else is Neuromentis® recommended for? Our product can also serve as a supplement for depression and comprehensively as a supplement for the nervous system.

Nervous System Supplements Neuromentis® - more about NADH and NAD+

The largest grouping of dopaminergic neurons is located in the substantia nigra in the midbrain, which is part of the extrapyramidal nervous system. It is responsible for initiating voluntary movements and regulating the tone of skeletal muscles.

Patients with disorders in this component of the nervous system report pathological changes in muscle tone (stiffness in parkinsonism, decreased tone in chorea), the occurrence of involuntary movements (resting tremor in parkinsonism, choreic, athetotic, ballistic, dystonic movements), and difficulties in movement coordination.

As explained by Dr. George Birkmayer, director of the Parkinson's Therapy Institute in Vienna, who has been conducting research on NADH for over 30 years: "one-third of all the energy we produce in our body is used by our brain. For this reason, an energy deficiency appears first in the brain with symptoms such as lack of concentration and alertness or mental fog. With a greater amount of NADH, brain cells function better (...). Another mechanism through which NADH affects cognitive functions is by stimulating the production of adrenaline and dopamine. Both of these substances are essential for our cognitive functioning and our memory" (Interview: Dr. George Birkmayer on NADH for Energy, Healthy Immune Function and More, "ProHealth", January 30, 2006).

In 2004, a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted to investigate the efficacy of NADH in alleviating symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. 24 patients with probable Alzheimer's disease received 10 mg of oral NADH or a placebo. As observed after six months, participants taking NADH did not show signs of progressive cognitive function deterioration; on the contrary, they exhibited significantly higher performance scores than the placebo group in terms of verbal fluency and visuoconstructive abilities, as well as a tendency towards better performance in abstract verbal reasoning. The researchers concluded: "Consistent with previous studies, the current findings support NADH as alleviating symptoms of Alzheimer's disease" (Demarin V., Podobnik S.S., Storga-Tomic D., Kay G., Treatment of Alzheimer's disease with stabilized oral nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide: A randomized, double-blind study, "Drugs Exp Clin Res." 2004;30(1):27–33).

NAD+ activates sirtuins, which are responsible for the longevity and efficient functioning of organs in the body, thereby influencing good physical condition. Clearing metabolic pathways through the increase of NAD+ along with sirtuin activation raises perceivable energy, which is directed both to the nervous system and to the working muscles.

Increased expression of NAD+ leads to a reduction in beta-amyloid toxicity, which is associated with the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. NAD+ is also responsible for regulating inflammatory states in the nervous system by influencing the release of inflammatory cytokines by microglia. As a result, NAD+ reduces the risk of degenerative diseases.

NAD+ influences the production of TH1 and TH17 cytokines of the immune system. These cytokines are involved in the pathogenesis of many autoimmune diseases. NAD+ not only inhibits but also reverses neuron degeneration through immunosuppression induced by an increase in IL10 and accelerated myelination. It has been proven that glial cells supply NAD to neurons in stressful situations. In multiple sclerosis, it has been observed that the level of NAD+ in microglia is disturbed, resulting in increased production of pro-inflammatory cytokines that cause neurodegeneration.

In the case of patients with MS, the level of NAD increases in the immune system and decreases in the nervous system, causing a deficiency in neurons, which in turn are more susceptible to damage during the disease.

Dietary Supplement for the Nervous System Neuromentis® - supplement ingredients

The ingredients of Neuromentis® have been selected based on scientific knowledge to support the body in the production of neurotransmitters, providing it with individual components that occur during chain reactions. This ensures the activation of various enzymes responsible for repairing damaged cells. The composition of Neuromentis® includes:

  • Niacin for depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and more

Niacin plays a crucial role in the most important life processes of our body. It has the greatest impact on brain function. It is absolutely essential for the proper functioning of the peripheral nervous system. It reduces stress, nervous tension, and feelings of anxiety. It has undeniable therapeutic effects and in many cases serves as a supplement in the process of alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depressive states.

As a result of niacin deficiency, one can experience apathy, nervousness, and aggression. Deficiencies of this vitamin can also lead to mental disorders or diseases, such as schizophrenia. It participates in metabolic processes aimed at releasing energy, inhibits the toxic effects of chemical compounds, regulates cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and supports the nervous system and mental state. However, its properties in aiding the process of alleviating symptoms of depression, which often coexists with neurodegenerative diseases, are the most underrated.

  • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) for depression, migraines, and more

Vitamin B2 is crucial for the proper functioning of the nervous system and the body's ability to store energy. It actively participates in the production of hemoglobin, the most important component for transporting oxygen in the blood vessels, facilitates the proper functioning of the vascular endothelium and heart muscle, and also contributes to the regulation of blood pressure.

  • NADH

NADH is responsible for increasing the production of neurotransmitters (happiness hormones) and adrenaline (a hormone responsible for mood and resistance in stressful situations). NADH ensures energy production and proper functioning of tissues and organs.

NADH participates in the synthesis of neurotransmitter substances, serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which improve well-being and, most importantly, physical and mental condition. NADH is responsible for transforming alpha-ketoglutarate of arginine into nitric oxide, thereby preventing muscle breakdown, improving physical fitness, increasing physical endurance, and facilitating oxygen transport.

  • NAD+

NAD+ aids in the recovery of cognitive functions, strengthens the immune system, and is a powerful antioxidant. It functions as a coenzyme in certain biochemical reactions, essential for their proper progress, including the transfer of electrons between them. A common symptom among individuals with MS and other neurological diseases is a mental aversion to undertaking any activity, which may be caused by a low level of NAD+ in the body. High concentrations of NAD+ delay the onset of fatigue caused by intense training or rehabilitation. Therefore, Neuromentis® can be very helpful during MS treatment and support the process as a supplement for MS.

  • L-Tryptophan for anxiety, depression, and sleep

The brain converts the amino acid tryptophan into serotonin, the so-called happiness hormone. A lack of this amino acid can lead to serotonin deficiencies, resulting in mood drops, depression, and insomnia. Serotonin is responsible for impulsive behaviors and sexual needs. The impact of this amino acid on depressive states has been confirmed when its deficiency was artificially induced in the body during a study. Most participants experienced intensified depressive symptoms, which were gradually alleviated by taking tryptophan supplements. Tryptophan is also an ally in regenerative sleep for the body.

  • Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B12 for fatigue

Methylcobalamin is the biologically active form of Vitamin B12. It participates in the growth and regeneration processes of nerve cells. Maintaining a proper level of Vitamin B12 in the body helps us feel less tired and apathetic.

  • Folic acid for depression, Alzheimer's, and more

Many clinical and epidemiological studies have demonstrated that a deficiency in folates leads to the development of neuropsychiatric diseases, such as depression, psychosis, epilepsy, and various myeloneuropathies. A folate deficiency also limits the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM), which plays a crucial role in the synthesis and catabolism of catecholamines in the brain. Disturbances in these processes can lead to disruptions in neurotransmission, which may manifest as cognitive impairments and mood changes. Deficiencies in SAM have been observed in individuals with depression as well as in those with Alzheimer's disease. There is increasing evidence that SAM plays a very important role in the myelination process.

  • L-tyrosine for depression, fatigue

L-tyrosine is one of the 20 proteinogenic amino acids. It supports the body during periods of increased mental and physical effort, including during rehabilitation and in states of fatigue. This is achieved by maintaining optimal levels of neurotransmitters. A deficiency in tyrosine can contribute to a decrease in mood.

  • Magnesium for depression, the nervous system, and improved brain function

Magnesium (magnesium citrate) serves a function of stabilizing the nervous system and improving the function of gray matter. It participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and cells. It is responsible for delivering energy to the tissues and cells of the body, particularly to the nerve cells in the brain. It enhances memory and thinking and has a calming effect on the body. A deficiency of magnesium in tissues can result in states of nervous overexcitability, often coexisting with neurodegenerative diseases. The muscle-relaxing effect of magnesium is utilized in alleviating symptoms such as spasticity, occurring in diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
